Childbirth Education Class

Having a baby is one of the most significant experiences of your life and Emanuel Medical Center is thrilled to share this remarkable time with you and your growing family. In the months before delivery, there is much to learn about your developing baby, changes in your body, childbirth, and caring for your newborn. We encourage you to enroll in our childbirth education class; developed to help you prepare for your birthing experience, the care and feeding of your baby, and much more.

Our class is designed to examine the physical changes you can anticipate during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and after giving birth. You will learn about hospital and nursery procedures, anesthesia, and medications. Coping strategies for labor, birth, and newborn care are also included.
