The Emergency Department treats patients requiring immediate medical attention. As one of the busiest emergency departments in the Central Valley, we provide emergency services to more than 59,000 patients a year in our new Critical Care Center.
24-hour Emergency Care
The Emanuel Emergency Department is a level 4 trauma center that is always open and staffed by doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical staff specially trained in emergency medicine. The Emergency Department entrance faces Olive Avenue.
The Emanuel Emergency Department features 21 private treatment rooms and a total of 32 beds, a dedicated decontamination room to treat patients exposed to hazardous materials, two triage stations featuring private rooms for patient confidentiality, a 2,200-square-foot waiting area, a separate ambulance entrance, and 24-hour security. Emergency medical care in provided by the Valley Emergency Physicians Medical Group.
